Credimédia Corretores de Seguros Lda. was born in October 1990.
From the outset, the activity carried out by the company has been professional insurance management and the provision of services in terms of commercial and claims advisory.
Adopting an inverse strategy with regard to insurance companies, which since the 1990s have opted for the centralization of services in district capitals and the subsequent closure of offices in the various municipalities, Credimédia chose to expand its points of sale.
Having established partnerships with the various insurance companies operating in Portugal since the beginning, the aim was to offer customers a wide range of offers meeting their specific needs.
Since 2003, it started the expansion project, opening several offices.
In a commitment to training, all company employees have the necessary certifications required by the ASF, using e-learnig platforms for this purpose.
In order to adapt the organizational structure to the company’s growth, specific departments were created in the commercial department, administrative, financial and claims advisory department.
Since its creation, Credimédia has bet on the establishment of solid partnerships, having made its first partnership in 1993 with the prestigious Commercial and Industrial Association of Figueira da Foz.
Always with the aim of broadening the market, partnerships were signed with various institutions over the two decades, some of which contributed to national projection, with emphasis on the protocol with Clube 2 CV/Dyane Portugal, which attracted thousands of customers. Another big bet since the beginning was technology. In 1997, the Credimédia website was created and e-mail addresses were assigned to each employee, which for the time was innovative as it was still in the fax era.
Since the beginning of its activity in 1990, Credimédia has had specific IT platforms designed according to the needs, namely GSegur, a program designed by the company, which at the moment is already sold to other competing companies.
CRM is starting to be used as a strategy, as well as the employee portal, an essential tool for internal communication where current commercial campaigns, partnerships, products and new business achievements are publicized on a daily basis.
In 1997, one of the first virtual insurance stores was inaugurated, which remains active and with increasing requests from customers, which even allows the filling of insurance proposals online.
In 2008, Credimédia, in order to broaden its offer, created a new innovative product – insurance for mobile phones – having developed an online sales platform and started marketing in partnership with a business group in the communications area with around 150 points of sale in the country.
With the experience acquired over 30 years, Credimédia Seguros currently manages a portfolio of several thousand clients. It is intended that the differentiating factor is the quality of services provided, providing personalized assistance to each customer in choosing the insurance that best suits their needs.
Based on these values, the evolution to a new stage is envisaged, with the certification of a quality management system in the company and the possibility of creating a Credimédia Seguros franchising network.
